At Modern Skin, our goal is to provide the care you need without jumping through the hoops of a broken healthcare system. We wanted the ability to deliver exceptional, convenient, and individualized care by experienced dermatology providers without the interference of health insurance or administrators’ greed. That’s why we eliminated the middleman and elected to work directly with our patients. Using a direct care model, we’re able to dedicate the time and effort into what matters most – you and your relationship with the provider – while remaining efficient and cost-effective.
Our prices are fully transparent and will often be less than insurance copays for specialty visits. There are no hidden fees or surprise bills. You will still be able to use your health insurance for prescription medications and laboratory studies, if needed. We gladly accept HSA/FSA cards. We are also happy to provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Everyone gets pimples! Acne is the most common skin condition in the world. It affects 85% of the teenage population but often times can persist into adulthood. Acne can present as white or blackheads, red bumps, cystic nodules, and/or open sores on the face and body and when left untreated can result in hyperpigmentation and/or scarring.
At Modern Skin, we believe it is important to treat acne due to the emotional impact it can have on a person. Acne is associated with an increased risk of depression, anxiety, poor self-esteem, and even bullying.
The cause of acne is multifactorial including follicular hyperkeratinization (build up of skin cells), microbial colonization with Cutibacterium acnes, sebum (oil) production, hormones, and complex inflammatory mechanisms.
Acne treatment at Modern Skin starts with a comprehensive evaluation with our dermatology nurse practitioner who will customize a treatment plan that works for you. Common treatments include topical and/or oral prescription medications, intralesional injections, customized facials, LED light therapy, chemical peels, and complementary and alternative therapies.
The goal of acne treatment at Modern Skin is always patient satisfaction with their appearance and treatment, long term control of acne flares, and an improved quality of life.
