Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Modern Skin (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how information is collected and used when you visit our website, send an inquiry, follow a booking link, or communicate with us by email or text message. It also explains your choices and how to contact us about privacy.
This policy concerns our website and related communications. It is not a Notice of Privacy Practices for medical care and does not replace any notice, authorization, or consent required for patient records or treatment. Contact our office to request information about the privacy practices that apply to your care.
1. Information you provide
Our contact form collects the information you choose to submit, including your name, email address, phone number, treatment or service of interest, and message. We also receive the information you provide when you call, email, or text us, including your contact details and the contents of your communications.
If you follow a booking link, the booking service may request additional information needed to schedule or manage your appointment. Information collected in a patient portal, during clinical intake, or in connection with treatment may be subject to separate privacy notices and legal requirements.
Please do not send medical records, detailed symptoms, insurance identifiers, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other sensitive information through the general website contact form, ordinary email, or text messages. Call our office for the appropriate way to share information needed for your care. These channels should not be used for emergencies.
2. Information collected when you browse
Website hosting, security tools, cookies, and third-party technologies may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, referring website, pages visited, interactions, and the date and time of a visit. Cookies and similar technologies may assign identifiers to your browser or device.
The website includes Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. Tag Manager manages website tags; the information collected depends on the tags it loads. The Meta Pixel can send information about website visits and interactions to Meta for advertising measurement and related advertising functions. This may include page URLs, device or browser information, IP addresses, and cookie identifiers. Meta may associate this information with information it already holds about you.
Pages also include third-party features such as maps, videos, reviews, social links, and spam-prevention tools. Depending on the feature, its provider may receive technical information when the feature loads or when you interact with it. A visit to a treatment page may reveal an interest in a particular service; avoid assuming that browsing or submitting an inquiry is anonymous.
3. How information is used
We use information to respond to questions, communicate about services you request, help arrange or manage appointments, and maintain our communications with you. Website and technical information also supports site operation, troubleshooting, fraud and spam prevention, performance measurement, and understanding how visitors find and use the website. Advertising technologies support measurement of advertising and related audience activity.
Where we offer promotional communications, consent and communication preferences determine whether you receive them. The SMS provisions below explain the distinction between texts about an inquiry or appointment and promotional text messages.
4. Service providers and other disclosures
Information may be processed by providers that support website hosting and maintenance, contact forms, email delivery, appointment booking, messaging, security, and other services used to respond to you. These providers receive information in connection with the functions they perform. Advertising and embedded-content providers may also receive browser information as described above; their own privacy policies explain their practices.
Modern Skin uses Boulevard as a service provider. When you interact with Boulevard-powered services, Boulevard may process your contact details and other information you provide to deliver those services on our behalf. Review the privacy notices and consent disclosures presented within those services.
We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or when permitted by law to protect rights, address fraud or security incidents, or protect people’s safety. Information may also be disclosed at your direction or with your authorization. These provisions do not authorize disclosure of protected medical information where a separate legal basis or authorization is required.
5. Mobile information and SMS privacy
We will not sell or share mobile information or personally identifiable information collected through our SMS program with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This includes mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent records. Messaging service providers may process this information to deliver and support our communications, rather than for their own marketing. The website advertising technologies described above are separate from our SMS subscriber information.
6. Text messages, consent, and opting out
Inquiry and appointment messages. When you provide your number through a form or booking process that asks for SMS consent, your consent applies to the messages described at that point. For example, our contact-form disclosure covers text replies from Modern Skin about your inquiry. Appointment communications may include scheduling, confirmations, reminders, or updates when you have agreed to receive those messages.
Promotional messages. If Modern Skin offers text promotions or specials, those messages require your express opt-in to the applicable marketing program. Providing a phone number for an inquiry does not, by itself, enroll you in promotional texts. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchasing products or services. This privacy policy itself is not an SMS signup or a grant of marketing consent.
Frequency and charges. Message frequency may vary based on your inquiries, appointments, and the programs you join. Message & Data rates may apply. Your mobile provider’s rates and terms apply.
Opt out. You may withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to a text from Modern Skin. You may receive a non-promotional confirmation of your request. Opting out of text messages may also stop appointment reminders sent by text. You can also contact us by phone or email to request that we stop texting you. Withdrawing SMS consent does not cancel an appointment or prevent you from contacting our office another way.
Help. Reply HELP for assistance, call (785) 856-0746, or email [email protected]. If your phone number changes or is reassigned, please let us know. Text messages can be visible to anyone with access to your phone or account and should not be used to send sensitive medical information.
7. Cookies, advertising, and your choices
You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and control some tracking technologies. Blocking cookies may affect website or third-party features, and deleting cookies may reset saved preferences. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent every type of data collection.
You can also review the privacy and advertising controls offered by the services you use, including Meta’s privacy information and Google’s privacy information. Provider settings may apply only to a particular account, browser, or device. To ask about website tracking or exercise a privacy choice available to you under applicable law, contact us using the details below.
8. Booking services and external websites
Our website links to external services, including the Jane booking service, and may direct you to other booking or communication services as those services change. Follow the privacy notice and consent disclosures shown by the service you actually use. This website policy does not replace those notices. Links to financing, maps, social media, and other external websites are also subject to the practices of their respective providers.
9. Retention and security
Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the reason it was collected, the services involved, and applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Inquiries, appointment-related communications, consent records, and technical logs may therefore have different retention periods. Medical records are subject to separate requirements. Contact us if you have a question about a particular record or would like to request deletion; legal obligations and other permitted reasons may limit what can be deleted.
The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit between your browser and the site. No website, electronic communication, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Use the contact form only for general inquiries, and protect access to any booking or patient accounts you use. Modern Skin is based in Kansas; service providers may process information in the locations where they operate.
10. Privacy requests and communication preferences
You can contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live, the information involved, and whether a particular law applies, you may have additional rights to access or obtain a copy of information, restrict certain uses, or opt out of certain processing. Requests are subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.
We may need to verify your identity or authority before responding to a request involving personal information. Do not include identity documents or sensitive medical details in your initial email. Tell us what you are requesting and how we can reach you. For medical-record requests or questions about patient privacy rights, contact our office so your request can be directed appropriately.
To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe instructions in the email or contact us. To stop texts, use the instructions in Section 6. Communication preferences and medical-record requests are different from deleting browser cookies.
11. Children and information about minors
This general-information website is not directed to children under 13. Parents or guardians seeking services for a minor should contact the office and use the appropriate booking or intake process. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the website without appropriate parental involvement, contact us so we can review the matter.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, services, or applicable requirements. The date above identifies the latest update. Posting a revised policy does not itself provide consent for marketing texts or any other activity that requires separate authorization.
